Nakeasha L. Sanders-Small is a staff attorney in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Washington, D.C., office. She focuses her practice on complex civil litigation.
Prior to joining McDermott, Nakeasha was a contract attorney at several top-rated law firms, where she worked on a variety of matters relating to antitrust investigations, compliance and energy commodities trading. As principal of her own law practice, she counseled businesses and individuals on bankruptcy, compliance and contractual matters.
Nakeasha received her J.D. from Marquette University Law School, where she was a member of the Sports Law Journal, and her B.A. in economics and international relations from Tulane University, Newcomb College.
Nakeasha is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of the District of Columbia and Wisconsin, the federal court of Maryland and the state of New York. She is currently President of the National Bar Association’s Greater Washington Area Chapter Women Lawyers Division (GWAC).
