Victoria Friedman is counsel in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Chicago office. She focuses her practice on a wide range of intellectual property matters.
Ms. Friedman is regularly engaged in client counseling, patent and trademark prosecution, preparing opinions of counsel and developing and implementing market growth, enforcement and settlement strategies. She also has extensive experience with trademark matters, licensing strategies, trade secret protection, corporate due diligence and other aspects of intellectual property.
Ms. Friedman received a B.S., with honors, in computer information systems from DePaul University, and a J.D., certified in Intellectual Property, from the John Marshall Law School. While at John Marshall, Ms. Friedman was an executive editor for the Review of Intellectual Property Law, and a staff editor for the Journal of Computer and Information Law. Currently, she is pursuing an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law at the John Marshall Law School.
Ms. Friedman is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of the State of Illinois and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.
