Meera V. Popat is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office. She focuses her practice on public company regulatory compliance, transactions and general corporate work.
During law school, Meera worked for the Division of Enforcement of the Securities and Exchange Commission and was a development editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. She also was the social chair of the South Asian Law Students Association and the vice president of admissions for VULS Ambassadors. Meera was a Rana B. DiOrio Scholar.
Prior to law school, Meera received a Masters in International Relations, with concentrations in International Economics and American Foreign Policy from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
Meera is admitted in the State of New York and the District of Columbia.
