Ahsan has prosecuted many video game patents. He has written several articles on the legal issues faced by the video game industry, including in the National Law Journal and the San Francisco Daily Journal. He has also been quoted on the topic, such as in Variety Magazine. He is a member of the American Bar Association's Special Committee on Computer Gaming and Virtual Worlds.
Ahsan is admitted to the California State Bar and is a registered patent attorney admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
