Nithya A. Mathai is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Chicago office.
While in law school, Nithya interned for Equip for Equality, an organization that advances the human and civil rights of children and adults with physical and mental disabilities in Illinois. She also has experience as a student lawyer for the Federal Civil Rights Clinic, where she successfully argued a response to a motion to dismiss in federal court. She also served as a student lawyer in the Domestic Violence Clinic at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she successfully tried a custody case in Vermillion County state court.
Nithya is admitted to practice in Illinois.
