Dr. Sandra Urban-Crell is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery Rechtsanwälte Steuerberater LLP based in the Düsseldorf office. She is a member of the Labor and Employment Group, where she advises German and international companies on all aspects of individual and collective labor and employment law.
Her areas of specialisation include inter alia transaction related labor law issues and restructuring through until post-merger integration as well as consultancy on outsourcing activities and co-determination of employees (including negotiations with the works council). In addition, she advises both companies and senior executives in connection with the conclusion and termination of service contracts, employee benefits and pension schemes. Further, Sandra has particular expertise in the area of temporary employment.
From 1999 to 2002, Sandra was a research assistant to Professor Dr. Wank at the Institute for Civil Law, Commercial and Labor Law at the University of Bochum. She received her Dr. jur., with a thesis on German dismissals protection in 2000. Sandra has written several professional publications in the area of labor and employment law and is a speaker at employment-law seminars.
Sandra is admitted to the German Bar and is a certified employment law specialist (Fachanwältin für Arbeitsrecht).
