Michelle is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Silicon Valley office. She focuses her practice on corporate law and real estate transactional matters. Michelle represents corporations and shareholders in a variety of corporate transactions, including acquisitions and sales of public and privately held companies, loan transactions, implementing stock option plans and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) and general corporate and business matters. She represents emerging growth companies throughout their lifecycle, from formation through initial and subsequent rounds of financing to an acquisition or initial public offering. Michelle also represents clients in many aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisition and disposition, financing and commercial leases.
While in law school, Michelle served as a writing advisor for the advanced legal writing program and participated in the Tribal Legal Development Clinic. She also worked as a legal intern at California Housing Finance Agency, Legal Services of Northern California and Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles.
Prior to law school, Michelle worked in various aspects of affordable housing and community economic development, and served as the executive director of a nonprofit organization.
Michelle graduated from UCLA School of Law where she was a fellow of the David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law & Policy. She earned her A.B. degree cum laude in social anthropology from Harvard University.
