Edward G. Zacharias is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Boston office. Edward provides regulatory and transactional representation to health systems, academic medical centers, physician group practices, HMOs, faculty practice plans, nursing facilities and a variety of other health care clients. He represents clients in connection with acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic affiliations, conversions to tax exempt status, HIPAA compliance, fraud and abuse and Stark, reimbursement, clinical integration program development, licensing and other transactional and regulatory matters.
Edward holds a master’s degree in bioethics from Case Western Reserve University. He received his law degree from Boston University School of Law, where he served as the editor-in-chief of The American Journal of Law and Medicine and the president of the Health Law Association.
Edward is a member of the Boston Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association. He was selected by the Boston Bar Association to participate in the 2008-2009 Public Interest Leadership Program, a prestigious program made up of lawyers who have demonstrated a strong commitment to pro bono work, public service or organized bar activities. Edward is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
