Francesco Savino is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery UK LLP, based in its London office. He is a member of the European Competition Group where his practice focuses on all aspects of EU/UK competition law.
Francesco has experience of a range of antitrust and trade law issues, including cartel investigations, merger control, trade sanctions, customs duties and tariffs and export control.
Representative Experience
- Prepared the Office of Fair Trading and Italian competition authority merger notifications in relation to Nike’s acquisition of Umbro
- Multi-jurisdictional merger notification relating to the purchase by Gate Gourmet of Pourshins
- Advised on an export control matter for Emerson in the application of import licences in numerous European, Middle Eastern and Central Asia jurisdictions
- Advised several clients on customs matters, researching custom tariff classifications and EU preferential and non-preferential trade rules
