David R. Ryder is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Chicago office.
David’s practice focuses on general corporate tax matters, with a heavy concentration in U.S. aspects of international transactions and structures. He works predominantly and extensively with multinational corporations. David has participated in a substantial number of acquisitions, reorganizations and joint ventures involving foreign operations of U.S. companies and multinationals. David also has particular expertise in the tax aspects of structured finance transactions and extensive experience in working with the tax and corporate laws of many countries.
A frequent speaker at national and international conferences in the areas of his practice, he has also written numerous articles on international tax matters. David is a director of several U.S. and foreign corporations.
David is a member of the state bar of Illinois. He is one of 30 members of the Chicago International Tax Seminar group and is the founder and chairman of the EC Tax Roundtable Group which holds conferences twice a year in
