Dr. Wolfgang Freiherr Raitz von Frentz is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery Rechtsanwälte Steuerberater LLP, based in its Munich office. He is a member of the German telecom, media and technology (TMT) practice group, where practice focuses on media and IT law, including license and production agreements, film financing, cable and satellite agreements, advertising law, software, hardware, trade mark and know-how agreements, outsourcing, agreements on technology development, telematics, data protection, gaming, gambling, sweepstakes and all IP/IT relevant aspects of insolvency law as well as litigation. Wolfgang has extensive M&A experience, in particular in the TMT sector.
Wolfgang is recommended in JUVE Handbuch Wirtschaftskanzleien 2007/2008 (directory of German commercial law firms) in the field of entertainment and Chambers Global 2008 as well as Europe 2008 acknowledge him as a leading individual in the field of media. In 2005 the German TMT practice group won the JUVE award “best law firm of the year for media”. Recently, Wolfgang was featured as one of the top lawyers in Germany under 40 in JUVE’s top “40 under 40”.
Wolfgang is the author of numerous publications on entertainment law. Prior to joining the Firm in 2004, he practiced at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Cologne and London.
