Samuel Schlessinger is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm's Chicago office. Sam focuses his practice on the areas of buyouts and recapitalizations, securities transactions, mergers and acquisitions and private equity/emerging companies. His public company transactional experience includes public equity and debt offerings, exchange offers and initial public offerings.
Recent transactions that Sam has worked on include representing an unfunded private equity group in its acquisition of a privately held manufacturing company, a $150 million equity offering by a public company and the representation of a private equity client in the acquisition of a formerly public biotechnology company out of bankruptcy.
