Jennifer A. Vecchio is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in its Miami office. As a member of the Health Department, Jennifer focuses her national practice on the representation of hospitals, health systems, health care joint ventures, ambulatory surgery centers and ancillary service providers. She has significant experience in all aspects of transactional health law, including the acquisition and disposition of health care companies, as well as the formation and establishment of ambulatory surgical center joint ventures and provider joint ventures. Jennifer has served as lead counsel in connection with numerous major health care merger and acquisition transactions and the myriad of health care regulatory issues that arise from such transactions. She is a member of the Firm’s Health Ventures and Health Care Transactions Group.
Jennifer has represented several hospitals, ancillary service providers and physician organizations for purposes of determining compliance with state and federal anti-kickback and anti-referral laws, including the federal “Stark” laws. Working under the regulatory framework of federal and state health care laws, she has been significantly involved with the development and implementation of creative business models for health care clients.
Jennifer has extensive experience in drafting agreements to effectuate a multitude of relationships between health systems, health care providers, suppliers and other corporations and organizations.
Jennifer is Board Certified by The Florida Bar as a Specialist in Health Law.
Jennifer is a member of both the Florida and Illinois bars. She belongs to the American Health Lawyers Association, and she is a member of the Florida Bar Health Law Section.
