Philip Ou is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Silicon Valley office. He focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation.
Philip has represented clients in patent litigation matters involving a variety of technologies, including semiconductors, internet, software, data compression, computer programming, nucleotide analogs and electronic gaming devices. Philip also has represented clients in employment and business interference matters.
Philip is actively involved in the Firm’s pro bono program and has represented clients at court in hearings, mediations and settlement conferences.
Philip also practices immigration law, focusing on the EB-5 Investment Based Immigration Program.
Philip earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and his B.S. in materials science and engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. During law school, he served as an associate editor for the Computer High Tech Law Journal and earned a High Tech Law Certificate.
He is a member of the state bar of California and is a registered patent attorney admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark office.
