Christian Nemeth is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Chicago office. Chris focuses his practice on complex litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, insurance cases, white collar criminal matters and health care related-cases.
Chris has appeared in and represented clients in both federal and state courts across the country and has successfully tried cases involving a wide range of matters. Recently, Chris was part of a team that obtained a $24 million jury verdict in favor of a food manufacturer in an insurance dispute in Colorado. Since joining the Firm after law school, Chris has worked on trials ranging from arson to breach of contract to complex regulatory matters, with excellent results for his clients. He has also mediated cases on behalf of clients.
Chris has extensive appellate experience as well. He has successfully represented clients in appeals to the Seventh, Tenth and Ninth Circuits.
Chris also has experience conducting large scale internal corporate investigations. He has conducted investigations for major health care organizations across the country.
Chris is an active member of the Firm’s recruiting committee.
Chris is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the State of California; the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh and Tenth Circuits; the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the State Bar of Illinois.
