Elizabeth A. Laughlin is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Chicago office. 

While in law school, Elizabeth served as a notes and comments editor for the Chicago-Kent Law Review.   She also edited for the Journal of Intellectual Property.  Elizabeth was a member of the nationally recognized Chicago-Kent Trial Team, for which she was the recipient of the Honorable Warren D. Wolfson Award.  She externed for the Honorable Virginia M. Kendall of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and for Justice Jill K. McNulty of the Illinois Appellate Court, First District, Sixth Division.  Elizabeth also completed Chicago-Kent’s Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate Program, and she became a certified mediator through the Center for Conflict Resolution.

Elizabeth graduated with honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law, and she received her B.A., summa cum laude, in philosophy, Spanish and mathematics from Augustana College.  She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  

Elizabeth is admitted to practice in the state of Illinois.
