Dr. Jens Ortmanns is a partner in the Corporate Department and Real Estate Group of McDermott Will & Emery and is based in the Düsseldorf office.
Jens advises his clients on all aspects of corporate, finance and real estate law. His main areas of practice are:

Jens studied in Germany, France and the US and received his Doctor of Law from the University of Trier in 2002. Jens began his career in the corporate real estate department of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, before joining Hypo Real Estate Bank International, Hypo Real Estate’s conduit for high-volume international real estate financings. At Hypo, Jens was a member of the European Transaction Management team in London and later on Transaction Manager for Europe, Middle East and India as well as Compliance Officer in the Munich branch of Hypo International.
Jens has published numerous articles in the field of real estate, investment and finance law and frequently speaks at related seminars.
Jens is admitted to the German Bar. He is fluent in German, English and French.
