Anne W. Hance is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s
Anne counsels clients on a broad range of matters, including the Medicare prescription drug benefit, Medicare Part D; the Medicare managed care program, Medicare Advantage; state insurance regulatory issues; HIPAA privacy and security matters; federal fraud and abuse regulations and compliance issues; as well as general legal and health policy issues.
Anne frequently presents and co-authors articles on issues relating to Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D, including legislative and regulatory developments, compliance matters, Medicare marketing requirements, Medicare risk adjusters, and other legal and policy issues. She is vice-chair in charge of publications for the American Health Lawyers Association’s Payors, Plans and Managed Care Practice Group and a member of the association’s Part D Task Force as well.
Prior to entering law school, Anne worked as a health policy and reimbursement specialist for a law firm.
Anne is a member of the American Bar Association, Health Law Section; American Health Lawyers Association; and District of Columbia Bar Association, Health Law Section.
