David L. Mathus is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s New York office. David represents financial institutions, investment funds, large private enterprises and their owners. He focuses his practice on finance and transactional matters, including principal and private equity investments, securities offerings, joint ventures, structured finance, and mergers and acquisitions.
In addition, David has served as special counsel to the general counsel of Kmart Corporation upon its emergence from bankruptcy and as a board member of several information services and software companies.
David is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut. He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the American Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association. He received his B.A. from the College of William & Mary in 1981 and J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1984, where he is a member of the Board of Visitors. He is a member of the Board of Governors of The Union League Club.
