Christie Hall is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery UK LLP, based in its London office. Her practice focuses on all aspects of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious.
Christie has advised on implementing redundancy programs, disciplinary hearings, dismissal litigation, discrimination, employee grievances and the employment aspects of share and asset transfers. She is also experienced in drafting employment contracts, service agreements and employee manuals and handbooks.
Christie advises on all aspects of employment litigation both in the Employment Tribunals and in the High Court, including preparation of claim and defence forms, interim applications, drafting witness statements, preparing submissions, attending mediations and conducting settlement discussions. She also conducts her own advocacy and has appeared before the Employment Tribunals, both in England and New Zealand.
Christie has experience in preparing and presenting both in-house and external seminars and conference papers, and in providing in-house manager training on a variety of subjects.
Christie is dual qualified as an English and New Zealand solicitor. Prior to joining McDermott Will & Emery Christie practiced employment law at a major Australasian law firm.

- Acting for a financial institution regarding a High Court bonus and breach of fiduciary duties claim including a number of senior managers
- Advising a multinational company on discrimination law across a number of jurisdictions
- Acting for a national facilities management company regarding numerous TUPE and service pension damage issues
- Acting for a financial institution in respect of a whistleblowing claim by a senior employee
- Advising on a number of grievances resulting from the merger of two major financial services companies
