Ashley McKinney Fischer is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm's Chicago office.
Ashley’s practice is transactional and counseling-based and includes the general representation of health care organizations such as health systems, hospitals, physician groups, integrated delivery systems and other health care providers. Her transactional practice includes mergers, acquisitions and affiliations; divestitures; hospital/physician joint ventures and corporate reorganization. Ashley’s regulatory practice focuses on antitrust; the Anti-Kickback and Stark laws; health information privacy; legal assessments and compliance programs; and other general regulatory matters.
Ashley was named a 2009 and 2010 Illinois Rising Star by Law & Politics. She was also named to the Nightingale’s Healthcare News’ list of Outstanding Healthcare Antitrust Lawyers – 2006 and the Nightingale’s Healthcare News’ list of Outstanding Fraud & Compliance Lawyers – 2005.
Ashley is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association Health Law and Antitrust Sections. She is the former editor of the American Bar Association Antitrust Section, Health Care Committee Recent Developments. She serves on the Guild Board of the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago, and is an officer of the Andover/Abbott Alumni Association of Chicago.
