Katie Clark is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery UK LLP, based in its London office. Her practice focuses on contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
Her clients include global corporations, financial institutions, FTSE 100 companies, manufacturing companies, service providers and start ups.
Katie has experience across the whole spectrum of employment advice, from giving day-to-day practical advice aimed at the commercial needs of the client to negotiating PLC Board Director contracts. She has particular experience of dealing with the employment aspects of large corporate transactions, including outsourcing deals and PFI projects and has a thorough knowledge of TUPE.
Katie has litigation experience in the Employment Tribunal, where she does her own advocacy, Employment Appeal Tribunal, High Court and Court of Appeal.
Katie regularly gives in-house and client training seminars and has experience in tailoring presentations to suit a particular client. She is also a regular CLT speaker. Katie is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Katie is recognised as a leader in her field in Chambers UK 2010 ('recognised force for her advocacy and commercial employment advice').

- Advising the service provider in a number of multi-million/billion pound newsworthy, outsourcing deals
- Acting for respondent in a particularly significant 100+ applicant tribunal matter regarding sufficiency of collective consultation
- Acting for the defendant in successful injunction proceedings
- Acting for respondent to defend high-profile discrimination claim
- Acting for respondent in “whistleblowing” claim (including doing the advocacy in the first interim relief application in the London Central Tribunal)
