Carsten Steinhauer is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery Studio Legale Associato based in the Firm’s
Carsten has extensive experience in the structuring and negotiating of mergers and acquisitions, private equity and project finance transactions, including cross-border transactions. He has assisted a variety of Italian, German and other foreign companies of all dimensions.
He holds a Ph.D. (Dr. jur.) from the University of Freiburg and a masters’ degree (LL.M.) from the University of Chicago. Carsten has published a book and several articles on corporate and securities law in Italian, German and English. He is listed as a leading corporate lawyer in the European Legal 500, in European Legal Experts and in Who's Who of Emerging Leaders .
Carsten was admitted to the German Bar in 2000 and to the Italian Bar in 2001.
In addition to Italian and German, Carsten speaks English and French.
