David O. Crump is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Washington D.C. office. He is a member of the Trial Practice Group. David focuses his practice on complex litigation, including class actions, product liability and multi-party mass tort and toxic tort cases.
David has significant experience handling general commercial disputes through mediation, arbitration, trials and appeals. He helped secure a complete dismissal of a plaintiff’s claims against a private water purveyor in a suit alleging property damage resulting from water quality. David has also achieved favorable results for clients in breach of contract actions involving the exercise of options on Clean Air Program credits and in large multi-party patent infringement cases related to information technology.
In addition to general commercial litigation, David has represented clients in enforcement actions with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and various state agencies in cases involving alleged violations of hazardous waste, clean water and clean air laws. He has extensive experience serving as environmental counsel on real property acquisitions and other corporate financing matters.
In addition to representing clients in matters involving environmental compliance, David advises clients on matters involving state and federal government law enforcement, voluntary disclosures and federal agency investigations.
Before joining McDermott Will & Emery, David was an associate with a national law firm, where he represented clients in state and federal courts in cases involving white collar crime, land use, environmental compliance, toxic tort and general commercial litigation.
David is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and the State of California.
