Dean A. Kant is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Chicago office. Dean has represented a consortium of university hospitals, teaching hospitals, regulatory entities, health maintenance organizations, medical staffs and professional organizations. Dean has served as counsel in connection with hospital restructurings, mergers, acquisitions and other affiliations, joint ventures, organization of ambulatory surgical centers, certificate of need and reimbursement litigation, and hospital operational legal issues of all types.
Dean served a residency in hospital administration at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, and worked in various administrative capacities at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Dean is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Society of Hospital Attorneys and the American Health Lawyers Association.
