Kimberly Brame Glasspool is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Houston office.  Her practice includes a wide range of project development and finance matters, mergers and acquisitions, and general transactional matters. 

Kimberly has significant experience in the energy industry, particularly the electric power sector.  She has advised clients in transactions involving fossil fuel-fired conventional and cogeneration facilities as well as wind, solar, landfill gas, and other renewable projects.  Kimberly regularly represents project developers and sponsors and other investors in the energy industry, including multinational energy companies and private equity funds.

While in law school, Kimberly was a member of the Louisiana Law Review and was named to the Order of the Coif.

Kimberly is admitted to practice in Texas.

  • Petroleum refining and marketing company – $455 million senior secured credit facilities supporting the expansion of its refining capacity
  • Major wind developer – construction of numerous wind-powered electric generating facilities throughout the United States involving approximately 270 wind turbines and associated facilities and more than 650 megawatts of capacity
  • Major wind developer – construction, operation and sale of a 50-megawatt wind-powered electric generating facility located in Kansas
  • Leading energy investment firm – investment in a 1.4 gigawatt portfolio of power generation facilities located throughout Texas
  • Offshore oil and gas engineering service and product provider – $85 million term loan facility for working capital needs
  • Major mining and chemical company – acquisition, commissioning and maintenance of wind turbines for a 50-megawatt project located in Mexico
  • Offshore drilling contractor – $300 million unsecured revolving credit facility for capital expenditures and general corporate purposes
  • Power generation company – strategic corporate reorganization and preferred equity issuance
  • Oil and gas exploration and production company – $100 million senior secured revolving credit facility and $5 million letter of credit facility
  • Leading energy investment firm – acquisition of one of the U.S. Gulf Coast’s largest oil storage and transportation facilities
