Amy Rohde Neal* is a professional advisor in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Chicago office. She focuses on complex post-mortem estate tax and trust administration matters, as well as the administration of private foundations. Working with private client lawyers, Amy assists Firm clients with gift-giving strategies in an effort to maximize and protect wealth and to minimize federal transfer taxes. She facilitates probate administration and property transfers and works closely with private client lawyers to oversee taxation and accounting issues regarding trusts and estates.
Amy has assisted private client lawyers in the preparation of federal estate tax returns for clients with gross estates exceeding 100 million dollars and in the successful defense of the returns on audit by the Internal Revenue Service.
Amy earned her M.S. in taxation from DePaul University’s Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and her B.A. from Marquette University.
