Raymond A. Jacobsen, Jr. is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Washington, D.C. office.  As head of the Firm’s Regulation & Government Affairs Department and its Antitrust and Competition Practice Group, Ray focuses his practice on mergers, acquisitions and complex antitrust litigation, with significant experience in the defense, medical devices, biotech, consumer product, energy and health care industries.

  • Successfully defended over 200 complex mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures in the United States, Europe and the Far East over the past 30 years.  Chambers USA 2007 edition describes Ray as “an attorney with national presence” who “is greatly respected for his insight into the intricacies of the merger process and confident manner before the agencies.”
  • Successfully defended civil antitrust litigation, including class actions, in over 30 federal and state courts and arbitrations
