Christina A. Ondrick is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Christina focuses her practice on litigation and counseling relating to intellectual property, including patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, unfair competition and antitrust matters. She has represented major corporations in cases and matters involving optical, electrical, chemical, mechanical and medical-related technologies. Christina has experience in all phases of litigation and has been involved in multiple jury trials and appeals. She has experience in litigation matters before the district courts, the International Trade Commission and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Christina is a registered patent attorney with experience in patent prosecution, reexaminations and interferences before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She has assisted clients with the development and improvement of intellectual property protection and licensing strategies.
Prior to entering the practice of law, Christina worked as an oil, gas and petroleum engineer and provided engineering consulting services to chemical, petrochemical and energy companies. She advised clients on engineering design, risk reduction and loss prevention.
Christina received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where she was an editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. She was also a member of the Order of the Coif. Christina earned her B.S. in chemical engineering from West Virginia University. While obtaining her undergraduate degree, she performed research relating to coal utilization and processing, with particular emphasis on novel coal liquefaction catalysts.
Christina is admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Intellectual Property Owners Association and Women in Technology.
