Benjamin Franklin is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Boston office. He focuses his practice on white-collar and civil litigation matters.
Prior to law school, Benjamin was a legislative correspondent in the office of Senator Mike DeWine, where he researched legislation and topics within the jurisdiction of the Senate Judiciary and Senate Select Intelligence committees, including refugee issues and immigration policy.
While in law school, Benjamin served as a note development editor for the Boston University International Law Journal and was a member of OutLaw. He also interned for the Boston University Civil Litigation Clinic, where he represented low-income clients in various stages of litigation relating to Social Security, divorce and small claims. Prior to joining McDermott, Benjamin worked as the assistant policy director for Boston City Councilor At-Large John Connolly, researching and proposing policy initiatives focused on the environment and education.
Benjamin is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
