Hosang Lee is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office. As a member of the Intellectual Property practice, he focuses his practice on patent prosecution, licensing and litigation.
Hosang has significant experience in IP strategic planning, patent portfolio management, and opinion work, as well as patent litigations. His patent practice covers a wide range of technologies including semiconductor devices, lighting devices, landline and wireless communications, electronic materials, fuel cell technology, solar energy and green technology, automobiles, medical devices and display devices including PDP, LCD and OLED. Prior to joining the Firm, he worked as a patent attorney in Korea. He has extensive experience in counseling Korean and international clients both in U.S. and Korea. Hosang frequently speaks on various topics of U.S. patent procurement, licensing, and litigation matters to researchers and industry IP managers. His professional memberships include the New York State Bar Association, D.C. Bar Association and the Korean Patent Attorney Association.
Hosang received his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Seoul National University. He is admitted to practice in New York and the District of Columbia. He is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Korean Patent Bar.
