Demetria A. Buncum* is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery based in the Washington, D.C. office. She is a member of the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department and concentrates on patent matters, including the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in electrical technologies.
Prior to joining McDermott, Demetria was a patent law clerk with a Northern Virginia law firm, and worked as a patent examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office prior to that.
Demetria received a M.S. in electrical and computer engineering with a focus on software and computer networking, and a B.S. in electrical engineering. While in law school, Demetria was a member of the George Washington University Law School moot court board.
Demetria is admitted to practice in Virginia and she is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
