Steven Black is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery UK LLP, based in its London office. He is a member of the Securitisation and Structured Finance Group where his practice focuses on securitisations.
Steven has extensive experience with funds and structured products. He has established funds for clients such as BNP Paribas and Man Group. The funds were tax efficient and structured to acquire a wide range of debt interests. He has advised arrangers, administrators and managers on a wide range of cash and synthetic products in varied jurisdictions. He also has experience in debt restructuring, asset purchases and employing interest and currency derivatives to maximise return and minimise losses.
