Rachel Twite is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery UK LLP, based in its London office. She is a member of the Employment Group, where her practice focuses on both contentious and non-contentious employment work.
Prior to joining the firm Rachel was seconded to the in-house legal team of an international blue chip company, where she was the main in-house employment law advisor. During her secondment she advised on all aspects of the employment relationship and also assisted in advising on a number of outsourcing agreements.
Rachel’s client base includes financial institutions, IT companies, large manufacturers, an international construction group and an number of multi national companies.
Rachel runs all aspects of tribunal claims including advising on the merits of claims, drafting pleadings and witness statements. She also advises on high profile discrimination disputes and claims heard in the Employment Tribunal, EAT and the Court of Appeal. Rachel also conducts her own advocacy in the Employment Tribunal.
Rachel has extensive experience of mediating disputes to avoid unnecessary and unwanted litigation, particularly in media sensitive situations.
Rachel advises her clients on everyday employment issues as well as complex grievances, dismissals and restructuring projects. Rachel also drafts and negotiates senior executive’s service agreements on behalf of her clients.
Rachel speaks frequently on many aspects of employment law, both at internal client events and externally.
