Benjamin A.T. Durie is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Los Angeles office.
While in law school, Benjamin was a legal intern in the Office of the Arizona Attorney General, Health & Education Section, and a judicial extern for the Honorable Philip Espinosa, Arizona Court of Appeals, Division Two. In addition, Benjamin worked for the Child Advocacy Clinic at the University of Arizona where he represented children in dependency proceedings in juvenile court.
Prior to law school, Benjamin worked for the International Myeloma Foundation as a Program Coordinator for Continuing Medical Education. He created web-based educational materials for European medical professionals.
Benjamin’s article, “Will The Shift to Medicaid Managed Care and the Accompanying Shift in Power to the States Create A Second Tier System For Medicaid Beneficiaries?” was recently published in the ABA’s Health Law Litigation Newsletter.
Benjamin is admitted to practice in California.
