Jean B. LeBlanc is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Los Angeles office. He focuses his practice on financing transactions of all kinds, including commercial loan transactions, restructurings, and workouts (both in and out of bankruptcy).
Jean has been lead counsel for agents, lenders, venture capitalists, and borrowers in connection with senior and subordinated loan and other financing transactions, including acquisition financing, debtor-in-possession financing, equipment financing and leasing, restructurings, and the exercise of remedies. He also has been lead counsel, on the behalf of purchasers and of sellers, in connection with bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy asset sales.
Jean has been recognized by Chambers USA as one of the leading lawyers in his field.
Jean is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Financial Lawyers Conference. From 2004 to 2006, he served as a member of the Uniform Commercial Code Committee of the State Bar of California's Business Law Section.
While in law school, Jean served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Abner Mikva of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Jean is admitted to practice in California.
