With offices in the U.S., London and Germany, the broad geographic dispersion of our Labor & Employment Practice enables us to serve clients on an international, national, regional or local level. Our Firm represents employers in virtually every industry including manufacturing, financial, service, entertainment, health care, education and construction.
Our goal is to assist clients to maximize their human resources, while avoiding exposure to liability. Employment disputes, however, often result in litigation. Our lawyers conduct a full range of labor and employment litigation before federal and state trial and appellate courts and administrative agencies. We also arbitrate and mediate all types of employment disputes, and represent unionized employers in collective bargaining negotiations, grievance arbitration, maintaining a union-free environment and in election and unfair labor practice proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.
In the U.S. and Europe, we counsel clients concerning matters such as reductions in force, executive severance, cultural diversity of the workforce, early retirement programs, employment contracts and non-competition agreements, reorganizations and outsourcing, development of employee manuals, wage-hour compliance, workers’ compensation, substance abuse programs and drug testing as well as general employee relations matters, European labor law, European Works Councils, the German Act against Unfair Dismissal, and the German Shop Constitution Act. Our London office also coordinates Pan-European employment and labor assignments.
