“Practitioners Pleased with Final Nuclear Decommissioning Fund Regs”

Martha Groves Pugh predicted that companies in the nuclear energy utility industry would be pleased with new IRS nuclear decommissioning fund rules. “The IRS and Treasure were very responsive to the concerns of the industry about the provisions in the earlier regs,” she said. Ms. Pugh added that she did expect an IRS clarification on schedule of ruling amounts (SRA) related to requested plant license extensions.
