Ralf Weisser was quoted in the May 5 issue of The Deal regarding Richard Callahan's investment in the German cable industry. Mr. Weisser stated that German cable is a TV play and not a telecom play. In view of the competition in the voice and other basic telecom services markets, he deemed it to be unlikely that the full triple-play cable offering will attract masses of customers. "Voice is not going to be the driver, the German cable market requires a gradual development," Mr. Weisser said.
