McDermott Named Top Patent & Trademark Litigation Firm
WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 7, 2006) — McDermott Will & Emery’s Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department has been recognized as a leading patent and trademark litigation firm by IP Law360. According to its recently published survey, IP Law360 has identified McDermott as one of the most frequently hired patent litigation and trademark litigation firms in the United States, representing both defendants and plaintiffs. McDermott ranked third in patent litigation with 52 cases filed and eighth in trademark litigation with 22 cases.
The survey, which ranked more than 250 law firms, measured how frequently firms were hired in patent and trademark litigations filed between July 1, 2005 and June 30, 2006, as identified by the U.S. district court and circuit court dockets. The survey did not include ITC cases.
