Former Honeywell General Counsel Peter M. Kreindler Joins McDermott Will & Emery As Senior Counsel
NEW YORK (September 8, 2009) — McDermott Will & Emery LLP today announced that Peter M. Kreindler has joined the Firm as Senior Counsel. In this post, Mr. Kreindler will focus on strategic litigation management, internal investigations and corporate crisis management. He will maintain offices in the Firm’s New York and Washington, D.C. locations.

Mr. Kreindler comes to McDermott Will & Emery from Honeywell International Inc. where he served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for more than 17 years. In that role, he was responsible for all legal affairs for the Company. In addition, the Government Affairs and Health, Safety and Environment functions reported to him.
Prior to Honeywell, Mr. Kreindler was a Principal and Associate General Counsel at Coopers & Lybrand where he handled securities litigation. Before that, he spent 13 years in private practice as a litigator. He began his career with clerkships under Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas and U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Irving R. Kaufman. He has also held positions as Executive Assistant and then Counsel to the Special Prosecutor for the Watergate Special Prosecution Force, where he briefed and argued the Watergate break-in appeal.
Mr. Kreindler graduated from Harvard Law School where he was editor of the Harvard Law Review and received the Fay Diploma for graduating first in his class. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Harvard College.
