Trademark Practice Receives National Recognition in Managing Intellectual Property's World IP Survey
CHICAGO (March 20, 2009) — McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that the Firm's Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department has been ranked nationally as a leading trademark practice for both trademark prosecution and trademark contentious work in Managing Intellectual Property's recent World IP Survey (March 2009).
Earlier this year, the trademark litigation practice was ranked among the top 10 U.S. general practice firms in Law360's 2009 Litigation Almanac. The Almanac also ranked the Firm's trademark practice among the top three firms with the biggest growth in the number of trademark cases handled.
Managing Intellectual Property's World IP Survey ranks the leading IP firms across the world in trademark contentious work and trademark prosecution and counseling. The results of the survey are based on interviews with hundreds of practitioners and in-house counsel worldwide and reveal which firms are rated by their peers for the strength of their expertise and the depth of their ability to service clients. The rankings were the result of interviews and research conducted between September 2008 and January 2009 across 70 jurisdictions.
