Rogers Named Client Service All-Star

WASHINGTON, DC - David Rogers, an employee benefits partner based in McDermott Will & Emery's Washington, D.C. office, was named to the second annual BTI Client Service All-Star Team for Law Firms, a report released by BTI, a management consulting firm based in Boston.  Mr. Rogers, noted as one of BTI's Client Service MVPs, is one of only 21 attorneys to make the All-Star Team for the second year in a row.  BTI surveyed Fortune 1000 general counsel on a broad range of issues, including client satisfaction and service.  The report, based on approximately 200 open-ended, unprompted interviews, identified David Rogers as among those lawyers who provide the best client service.  The 2002 report lists 93 lawyers from a total of 73 law firms.

Mr. Rogers' work in the retirement plan area includes the adoption, amendment and qualification of pension and profit sharing plans; summary plan descriptions and other employee communications.  His practice involves drafting and providing advice regarding non-qualified and incentive stock option plans, restricted stock, employee stock purchase plans and deferred compensation.  Additionally, he advises clients in the midst of bankruptcy regarding ERISA matters.  His experience in the bankruptcy area includes representation of Chapter 7 and 11 trustees in their role as sponsor or administrator of employee pension and welfare benefit plans.
