McDermott New York Office Welcomes Employee Benefits Team
NEW YORK (February 6, 2005) — McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that Robert M. Siper have joined the Firm's Employee Benefits Department as partners in the New York office. Mr. Siper will lead the New York effort in its continuing development of the Firm's executive compensation and employee benefits advisory practice. This practice will be expanded to include enhanced services in the areas of executive compensation, benefit plan risk assessment and transactional services (e.g. transactional due diligence, golden parachute analysis and post-transaction integration).
"Bob has more than 35 combined years of experience assessing companies' executive compensation needs and developing the most tax-efficient plans maintaining the companies' business strategy as the underlying priority," commented John Hendrickson, head of the Firm's Employee Benefits Department. "He will be working closely with both our employee benefits and tax lawyers to provide a comprehensive set of services to our clients."
Mr. Siper provides consultation on qualified and non-qualified deferred compensation, both equity and non-equity based programs; fringe benefits and compensation planning for executives from both design and regulatory compliance perspectives. He advises U.S., international and multinational corporations on pension and compensation planning.

Mr. Siper is a member of the American Bar Association Tax Section and the New York State Bar Association Employee Benefits Section. He has also served on the board of directors of the American Benefits Council and the Legislative and Regulatory Commission of the ESOP Association. He earned his B.B.A. and J.D. from Hofstra University and his M.B.A. from Baruch College.
