McDermott's Financial Advisory Practice Ranked by Corporate Control Alert
NEW YORK (March 13, 2008) — McDermott Will & Emery is delighted to announce that the Firm has been ranked among the top five firms for 2007 investment banker representations by Corporate Control Alert. Firms are ranked by the number of deals with a transaction value of at least $100 million in which they represented an investment bank or financial institution providing M&A advice on a specific deal. McDermott's financial advisory practice advised on 19 of these deals in 2007, and many others with a transaction value that was either undisclosed or less than $100 million.
Jeff Rothschild, who leads our financial advisory practice, commented, "I am delighted at the progress we have made in building this practice into a recognized market leader in such a relatively short period of time."
With more than 150 lawyers practicing on one integrated platform, McDermott's M&A Practice is recognized worldwide, placing in the top 20 in several deal tables in 2006 and 2007 by Bloomberg (Global Legal M&A and Global Financial M&A), Thomson Financial (Worldwide Rankings for M&A/Legal Advisors and Americas Rankings for M&A/Legal Advisors) and Mergermarket (Global M&A, North American M&A, Global Top Deals and North America Top Deals for 2007).
