Leading Private Equity Attorney Joins Firm
CHICAGO - McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to welcome Mark A. Harris as a new partner in the Firm's Corporate Department, resident in the Chicago office. At McDermott Mr. Harris will concentrate primarily on the representation of private equity portfolio companies and sponsor groups.
Mr. Harris joined the Firm from GTCR Golder Rauner, a large Chicago-based private equity firm, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and Principal, Portfolio Manager. Mr. Harris also has extensive legal experience in the private equity area. Prior to his tenure at GTCR, Mr. Harris served as Vice President-Strategic Planning & General Counsel of PrairieComm, Inc. and as Senior Vice President - Strategic Development & Chief Legal Officer of Click Commerce, Inc., both of which are private equity portfolio companies. Previously, Mark was a partner in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins, where he worked with a variety of private equity portfolio companies and sponsor groups, and where he founded its Venture & Technology Group.
