Washington, D.C. Adds Employee Benefits Partner
WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 17, 2007) — The Washington, D.C. office of McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce the arrival of Eugene M. Holmes as a partner in the Firm's Employee Benefits and European Labor Group.

Mr. Holmes' practice focuses on day-to-day client counseling related to plan operation and governmental regulatory compliance for defined contribution and defined benefit retirement plans, executive and equity compensation programs, and health and welfare plans. He also counsels clients on compensation and benefits plan ramifications and the impact on the employer workforce that results from corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and reduction-in-force initiatives.
Mr. Holmes received his LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2001, his J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1995, and his B.S. from Michigan State University in 1987. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Massachusetts, Georgia and Michigan. He is a member of the American Bar Association's Tax, Labor and Health Law sections.
