McDermott Advises Kvaerner on Sale to Yukos Oil Company
LONDON — The London office of McDermott Will & Emery advised Kvaerner, the international engineering and construction Group, on the sale of its Hydrocarbons and Process Technology Divisions to Russian oil giant, Yukos Oil Company for a total consideration of $100 million.
Scott Megregian, head of the Firm’s European competition practice said: "The diversity and sheer scope of the multi-jurisdictional filings on short time scales required to meet our client’s business needs made this a hot project for our London practice."
Kvaerner's team was led by George J. Pierson, Executive Vice President and Legal Director of Kvaerner E&C who said: "McDermotts did an outstanding job. They worked virtually around the clock with the Kvaerner team to pull this transaction together."
