Partner Andrew C. Liazos Elected as a Fellow of The American College of Employee Benefits Counsel
BOSTON (July 12, 2010) — McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that partner Andrew C. Liazos, head of the Firm's Executive Compensation Group and the Boston Employee Benefits Practice, has been elected as a Fellow of The American College of Employee Benefits Counsel (ACEBC). ACEBC is a national professional organization of approximately 400 lawyers who have made outstanding contributions to the field of employee benefits. Election as a Fellow is the highest recognition by peers of excellence in the field of employee benefits. Membership is by nomination only—it is limited to those who have at least 20 years of experience in the practice of employee benefits law, and demonstrate a sustained commitment to raising public awareness and understanding of benefits law through writing, speaking, public policy analysis, public education and/or public service while also maintaining a high level of professional services to clients, the bar and to the public. Induction of the new Fellows will take place on September 25, 2010 in Toronto, Ontario.

Mr. Liazos is Chair of the Foreign and International Subcommittee on Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation for American Bar Association - Section of Taxation and the past Chair of its Joint Split-Dollar Life Insurance Task Force with the Section of Real Estate, Trust and Estate Law Section. Mr. Liazos is a faculty member of the American Law Institute-American Bar Association and a past Chair of the ERISA Committee of the Boston Bar Association.
