LOS ANGELES — The book, Taxation of Hospitals and Health Care Organizations, written by Douglas M. Mancino, a senior health law partner of McDermott Will & Emery, has received its first comprehensive update. The update includes substantially expanded coverage of the intermediate sanctions rules, new coverage of the tax issues faced by health care organizations engaged in electronic commerce, coverage of the new information return disclosure requirements, and expanded coverage of several traditional issues of concern, including joint ventures, physician recruitment and retention, unrelated business income taxation and IRS audits.
